Helpful Tips For New Residents:

  • Induction cooking requires a magnetic vessel for heating and only certain materials can be used on your range top
  • Induction requires pots and pans that are made of metals that contain iron
  • Flat-bottomed pots or pans made from cast iron, enameled iron, nickel, or magnetic stainless-steel work best
  • To tell if your current cookware is compatible with the induction technology, grab a magnet and see if it holds to the bottom of the cookware. If your magnet stays on then your cookware is ready to be used on the induction range top
  • When purchasing new cookware, be sure to look for the below induction image on the packaging
